Our Founder's Story
Welcome, My name is Anne Maitland founder of Anne's Lullaby Solutions, and I'm delighted to share my journey with you. From a young age, my heart yearned to work with children and eventually become a mother myself. Blessed with an incredible husband and three sons, now young adults, our family has been a source of immense joy and fulfillment.
My professional journey commenced at TAFE, where I earned a Certificate of Applied Social Science. The initial years unfolded in daycare, an enriching experience that laid the foundation for what would become a lifelong dedication. As our family expanded with the arrival of my firstborn, Jerome, I shifted to a daycare closer to home to better balance work and family life.
Seeking a new avenue, I ventured into the Queen Elizabeth Centre's Mother and Baby Unit after the birth of our second son, Beau. However, a desire to be closer to home led me to the role of the local Primary School Nurse, where I dedicated seven years to nurturing the health and well-being of the community. With the arrival of our youngest, Marcus, I embraced yet another change, becoming a 3-year-old Kindergarten teacher.
Amidst this diverse journey, I discovered my true passion – baby settling. The realization dawned during my time at Northpark Private Hospital's Mother and Baby Unit, where I found immense joy in working with mothers and newborns. Seven fulfilling years were spent refining my techniques and methods in settling babies, but I recognized a need for change. Convinced that genuine success in establishing proper sleeping routines occurred at home rather than in a hospital setting, I decided to channel my wealth of knowledge and experience into a more personal approach. And so, Anne’s Lullaby Solutions came to life.
This venture represents not just my profession but my life's work and passion. After a remarkable 30-year journey, I have found my true calling – supporting families in the comfort of their homes. As both a nurse and a mother, I bring a unique blend of expertise and empathy, treating you and your baby with utmost dignity and respect.
