Frequently Asked Questions

Anne's Lullaby Solutions provides gentle, personalised support for families with babies and young children.

Oh goodness, no.

If there is one thing I have learned after more than 40 years supporting families, it's that sleep challenges can happen in even the most loving and devoted homes.

Children don't come with instruction manuals, and every child is wonderfully unique. Sometimes we simply need a little guidance, reassurance, and a fresh pair of eyes.

Please be gentle with yourself.

Never.

You don't need to wait until you're running on empty.

Some families contact me because they are facing significant sleep challenges. Others simply want reassurance that they're on the right path.

Whatever brings you here, you're welcome.

Absolutely not.

Parenting is one of the most important jobs in the world, and it can also be one of the most overwhelming.

My role is not to judge. My role is to listen, understand, and support you in finding a way forward that feels right for your family.

Not at all.

I work with anyone who loves and cares for a child.

Mums, dads, grandparents, guardians, foster carers, adoptive parents, and all those wonderful people who help raise little ones are welcome.

It truly takes a village.

Many families tell me exactly that when they first call.

The truth is, there is rarely a single magic answer.

Sometimes a small adjustment can make a big difference. Sometimes families simply need a personalised approach rather than general advice.

Together, we'll explore what may be happening and what might help.

My focus has always been on supporting families in a way that feels nurturing, respectful, and comfortable for everyone involved.

Every family has different values and comfort levels, and I believe support should reflect that.

We'll work together to find an approach that feels right for you.

We'll spend time talking about your child's sleep, routines, feeding, development, and any concerns you may have.

This is an opportunity for you to ask questions, share what's been working, and discuss any challenges you're currently facing. Together, we'll explore practical suggestions and personalised strategies that suit your child, your family, and your goals.

Most importantly, you'll have a supportive and experienced professional by your side to help you feel more confident moving forward.

Every child is different, just as every family is different.

Some families notice positive changes quite quickly. For others, progress happens gradually over time.

What matters most is finding a sustainable approach that supports both your child and your family's wellbeing. I cannot guarantee how quick change will occur, but I can guarantee that change will occur.

There is always hope.

I've worked with many families who felt they would never sleep again, only to find calmer days and more restful nights than they thought possible.

Sometimes all it takes is understanding what your child is trying to tell us.

Then you're in very good company.

Many caregivers carry a tremendous amount of responsibility, worry, and exhaustion.

You don't need to have it all together when we speak.

This is a safe space for questions, concerns, tears, laughter, and everything in between.

Because I genuinely care.

For more than four decades, I have had the privilege of supporting families through some of the most precious and challenging stages of life.

There is nothing quite like seeing a tired caregiver feel hopeful again, or helping a family find a little more peace and confidence.

It is a privilege I never take for granted.

Sometimes reassurance is exactly what people need.

Not every family needs a detailed plan. Sometimes they simply need someone experienced to say:

"You're doing better than you think."

And if that's what you need, I'm here for that too. 🌙💕

Understanding Different Types of Family Support Professionals

Useful Terms

A Mothercraft Nurse is a specially trained professional who supports families with the care and development of babies and young children.

Mothercraft Nurses are educated in areas such as infant sleep, feeding, settling, routines, growth, development, and family wellbeing. They work closely with families to provide practical guidance, reassurance, and support during the early years of a child's life.

With over 40 years of Mothercraft Nursing experience, Anne brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding to every family she supports.

A Sleep Consultant is a professional who helps families understand and improve their child's sleep patterns.

Support may include guidance around bedtime routines, settling, overnight waking, naps, and age appropriate sleep expectations.

Every sleep professional works differently, and approaches can range from highly structured to more gentle and flexible methods.

"Sleep Guru" is an informal term often used to describe someone who has extensive experience helping families with sleep challenges.

Unlike titles such as Mothercraft Nurse, the term itself is not a formal qualification, but is often used as a friendly way to describe a trusted sleep expert.

A Baby Settler or Sleep Settler helps babies learn healthy sleep habits and supports families through common settling challenges.

This may involve helping with routines, sleep environments, self settling skills, and understanding what is developmentally appropriate for a child's age.

A Parentcraft Nurse focuses on supporting parents and caregivers as they navigate the joys and challenges of raising children.

Parentcraft professionals often provide education and guidance around newborn care, feeding, sleep, routines, development, and building confidence as a caregiver.

A Postnatal Support Professional works with families during the weeks and months following the arrival of a baby.

Their role may include practical guidance, emotional support, education, and helping families adjust to life with a newborn.

Rather than focusing solely on sleep, Anne draws on more than four decades of experience supporting families as a whole.

Sleep, feeding, routines, development, wellbeing, and family dynamics are often closely connected. By looking at the bigger picture, Anne helps families find solutions that are practical, nurturing, and tailored to their unique circumstances.

🌙 Every child is different. Every family is different. Support should be too.
